As I'm sure you've notices, I'm really getting into, and enjoying, creating my own jewellery. There's something so therapeutic about working with your hands and getting out from behind a pc screen and I am always on the lookout for new and fun items to use in my creating. At the moment, my favourite medium to work with in is polymer clay. I like how easy it is to create simple beads out of it and I love the finish once it is baked.
I was looking for something special to string my new beads on and came across
this great website. While I have seen lots of leather in the bead shops here, I was impressed with Endlessleather and their very wide variety of cords and all the different colours, textures, shapes and finishes you can get. I could have bought everything they have, but after narrowing down my list of items to a few choice products, I placed my order and when they arrived on my doorstep I was even more impressed with the quality than I thought I'd be.
Here are the cords I bought:
I also got some clasps that come in both normal and brushed finish.
I particularly like the
white stingray pattern round stitched cord and the other colours are just as stunning. The thin round leather cords that I got in orange, pink and mint worked so well with my chunky square beads and I haven't quite decided what I want to make with the thicker cords, but it will definitely be some sort of bracelet so watch this space.
