nifty pallets

I have to get my hands on a pallet or two (mom, are you listening?). All these simple diy ideas are just great, and soooo easy, especially the coffee table and those headboards. I wonder where I could find a few lying around?

***I see I've been getting an amazing response to this blog post, so thanks to everyone that's posted about it on Pinterest.  If you're anywhere in the Cape Town area and would like to get your hands on some stunning pallet furniture go and visit Jasper & George. They do custom made furniture for a great price, so I'm sure if there's something specific that you'd like just let them know :)

  1. Some very cool ideas there. I thought of you yesterday while driving to the airport. I saw a huge amount of empty palettes (being broken down and used for firewood) next to a squatter camp near the airport.

  2. As an artist, the blog post got my attention! I love the palette used for storage with wheels. I thought that's just what I need to store paintings while they dry. A homemade drying rack on wheels! Good going! Thanks for the ideas!

  4. These are great! I really love the coffee table and the outdoor patio ottomans. I would love it aged with blue like the one on the site you posted http://www.jasperandgeorge.blogspot.com/p/decor.html just add glass to the top. My husband used to work as a warehouse supervisor and could get pallets, all he wanted. The basement of our old house flooded once or twice a year and he brought them home to raise up some of our storage items off the floor. I would of never dreamed back then of using them for anything else. Thanks for the great ideas!

  6. Thought about getting as many as I can and make a modular deck design this summer... instead of buying tons of wood and getting a permit etc etc.

The pallet base with the modern white cushion on top is especially interesting.
